Q: I have a problem I believe with the Metabase. I can't create a web site, or change the configurations without getting an error message that reads "An error occurred reading or setting a configuration parameter)". Does anyone know how to fix this?

A:

  1. bring up MMC
  2. expand "Microsoft Transaction Server"
  3. expand "Computers"
  4. expand "My Computer"
  5. expand "Packages Installed"
  6. click on "System" and bring up the property page
  7. on the "identity" tab, change from the interactive user to a user which is an admin on the machine.
  8. You may get an error message indicating that passwords have been mismatched and asked if MTS should resync them. Answer yes.
  9. Reboot
