Q: We are trying to schedule automatic builds using the scheduler in Site Server 3.0. The Catalogue build scheduler accepts scheduling information for all our catalogues (of which there are 4) but this information is not acted upon and no builds are automatically scheduled. We just can't get this to run. Has anyone got this to work?? We are running IIS4, Site Server 3 SP1 and NT SP4 (it didn't work with SP3 either). Anyone got any ideas? A:- Make sure that the Tasks are registered in the Task scheduler.
- Make sure that the account that was used to install Site Server is the
account under which the tasks will run.
- In the Task scheduler, make sure that the sscrawl.exe is referenced
properly(location). I found out that it is referenced inproperly if you use
the Web Admin tool.
- If you go to the Task scheduler, you should see the Next run time and
the Last run time. You will also be able to extract a message indicating why
the build did not take place.
