Q: I want to alter the existing GUI for Site Server. I personally think it bites. Obviously MS was more interested in functionality that appearance. That is not a bad thing (at least it works - kind of). But I want to make the user experience more appealing. So I want to basically design a sleeker interface. How do I do it?

A: If you are going to be creating multiple stores, edit the .ast files directly. We've done this as well to include additional functionality, additional pipelines and different store models. You could also edit the .ast to create a better look and feel for the store and management sections of a default site.
