| The Future of Web Services The future of Web services looks very bright. They have come along way in the last two years and OASIS is piling up new standards. WS - Reliable messaging and WS-Secure Conversion will add great value to the existing WS standards. The next version of the WSE is expected with the Indigo release. Indigo will tightly integrate Web services with the Windows operation system. The "ASP.NET Web services" and "WSE" sit on top of the .NET Framework currently. Indigo Web services will be "built into the operating system" to harness the extensibility of the open standards. Acknowledgements A special mention to Robert "Bobby B" Brunet (Microsoft Consulting, Australia) for his tireless efforts and putting up with my immature behaviour.
