Solutions
The 15 Seconds publication is solutions-based. While most developer resources write about tools and how to use the tools, 15 Seconds writes about how to make solutions from the tools. This focus can be seen in every one of our issues. When writing an issue, we ask ourselves "What problem do we want to solve?" instead of "What tool are we going to highlight?" Because we are independent of software manufacturers, we can mix software to achieve a solution with an unbiased viewpoint.

Advanced Technology
Issues of 15 Seconds publication are written by developers for developers. They are not intended for beginners and assume a high competency level in SQL Server, Active Server Pages, and the Internet. At times Visual C++, COM, and ATL are required to understand the articles. At times this limits our readership, but at the same time it sets us apart from other developer resources that focus on mass appeal of the beginner articles.

Performance
There are usually several ways to solve any programming problem. In writing the solution-based issues of 15 Seconds, we focus on the high performance solutions. We avoid writing about solutions or workarounds can not be implemented on high traffic web sites. The name 15 Seconds is the maximum time an average user will wait for a page to return, and we use 15 Seconds to gauge our success at writing high performance web solutions.

Accessibility
All the Issues of the 15 Seconds publication are free and complete in their entirety on the web site, including all back issues. This allows the maximum number of developers to benefit from the issues, and new developers to the site can read past issues. We do not have minimal requirements or require a login in order to view advanced topics. We periodically rework back issues to make them accurate and current to the latest technologies. Since we worked hard creating the issue in the first place, we like to keep it relevant to the times. This technique of updating information is unique to the web and can not be done in print. Our Issues are timely and cutting edge extending their usability.

"I just finished reading your latest issue ... y'all deserve congratulations for some of the most comprehensive and precise coverage I've seen of a web related topic." - David W. Morris

"Hurray for 15 seconds! The 404 redirect is a great utility! I thought I had to write a filter like that myself. You just saved me many hours of work!" - Johan Danforth

"Thanks for a very good article on Security and IIS4.0" - Karl Gotliebsen

"Congratulations on a superb job. I am new to ASP and programming in general (Architect by profession) and am very thankful for a well organized source of information." - Zimmer Gunsul Frasca

"I have been banging my head against my monitor all morning trying to work through an ASP/ActiveX DLL problem. Now I'm banging my head against my monitor because the solution I found at your site was sooooo painfully simple. Keep it coming. This site gets a big old bookmark!" - Jake Foster

"This is an outstanding resource. Thanks." - Patrick Turley
